The country villa on Scenic Drive, Swanson was the perfect small project to complete. Originally the bathroom had an internal dividing wall for a separate toilet but we removed that to open the space into one large bathroom sanctuary. The styling brief was Contemporary Country; a mix of modern palettes and tap ware, but a juxtaposition of heritage claw feet and villa vanity styling.
The space features a black double door vanity, a claw foot bath with stunning Mier cross tap ware, toilet and a shower all consistently fitted with black feature tap ware.
A big feature of the space is the cathedral beamed ceiling, which was fitted with track lighting that seamlessly blends into the architecture. Above the vanity mirror is also a track light, which is wall mounted providing directional light onto the face and in nominated spaces in the room.
The tiling was a classic grey tile with matching 5mm grout lines, and painted walls, with refurbished original wooden skirting, window frames and ceiling trims. These pieces of wood add to the country character, provides the space with framed perspectives and was important to maintain consistency throughout the rest of the home.
The design scope of the bathroom was the following: space-planned, 3D rendered, full product specification schedule and a project renovation time of 5 weeks overseen by Pocketspace.
